Bid Trailhead Terms of Service and Refund Policy

1. Who we are
Bid Trailhead is an assumed name of Byrne Welding & Fabrication, LLC, Bid Trailhead, PO Box 52, South Boardman, MI 49680. Contact: hello@bidtrailhead.com.
2. What you get
- Each week, a list of publicly posted government, school and public-agency solicitations matched to your trade and service area (launch area: Michigan).
- For each good fit, a plain-English breakdown: fit rating, requirements checklist (licenses, bonds, insurance, required forms), every key date we find (pre-bid meetings, questions deadline, due date), and a worth-bidding verdict with the reason.
- Every fit rating and requirements checklist item cites the exact solicitation section and/or page it came from, so you can check it quickly.
- Deadline reminders for opportunities you tell us you are pursuing.
- Setup, and your first weekly digest, within 2 business days of receiving your completed intake.
- One free change to your filters (trade, area, size) per month.
3. What we do NOT do
We provide research and summaries only. You remain the bidder. We do not prepare, price, write, sign or submit bids, register you on any portal, or contact agencies for you. We do not guarantee any number of opportunities in a given week, any award, or any income.
4. AI-assisted research
Our research and summaries are prepared with AI assistance and cross-checked against the source documents. Mistakes can still happen. Treat every summary as a starting point, not the official record.
5. Always verify with the issuing agency
All information comes from public sources, and solicitations change (addenda, moved deadlines, cancellations). Verify every date, bond, insurance and license requirement against the official solicitation documents and addenda; the official documents control. You are responsible for reading the full solicitation before you bid.
6. Billing
- Founding rate: $99 per month, billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe. We do not store your card number.
- Free-month credit: If you receive fewer than 2 matched bids in a calendar month, your next month is free, applied automatically as a credit to your account. Limit 2 credits in any 12-month period.
- Founding price lock: The first 10 subscribers get the founding price of $99 per month and keep it for as long as their subscription stays active without cancelling. Cancelling ends the founding rate; if you subscribe again later, standard pricing then in effect applies. The founding offer is limited to the first 10 subscribers. The standard price is $149 per month, so founding subscribers save $50 per month for as long as they stay subscribed. Any change to standard pricing will be announced with at least 30 days' email notice and does not affect an active founding subscription.
7. Cancel anytime
Cancel by emailing hello@bidtrailhead.com (or through the billing link, if provided). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month; you keep service until then. No cancellation fees.
8. Refunds
- First-week guarantee: if your first weekly report is unusable for your business (for example, nothing relevant to your trade or area), tell us within 7 days of receiving it and we will refund your first payment in full.
- After that, payments are not refunded for partial months, but you can cancel anytime as above.
- Billing errors (such as a duplicate charge) are always refunded.
9. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by law: we are not liable for missed bids, missed or incorrect deadlines, opportunities we did not find, errors in public sources or in our summaries, or any lost profits or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
10. Privacy (minimal data)
We collect only what we need: business name, contact name, email, trade, service area and filter preferences, plus billing records handled by Stripe. We use it only to deliver the service and bill you. We do not sell or rent your information. Ask us anytime to see or delete your data (we may keep billing records as required by law).
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms with at least 30 days' email notice. Continuing after the change takes effect means you accept it.
12. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Kalkaska County, Michigan.
